Sculptists. . . .
Here is a shorter digest, but with some exciting information. The
ISC is announcing the start of a series of Web Specials directly
relating to Sculpture Parks. The first special is a great one for
sculptors on Approaching Sculpture Parks. I hope that our
listeners who are working at sculpture parks will read Nick
Capasso's article and make any additional comments to us, here at
the listserv. Sculptors may have advice or experiences that they
feel would add to this great tool that Nick is putting out for
sculptors.
Also, there are three great opportunities listed and an update on
the schedule at Stone Hill Quarry in New York state, which my
friend Emilie Brzezinski has told me is a great place for
sculptors to do a project.
Please keep the great info flowing. Reply to
<rjcj@texas.net>.
Have a great weekend,
RJ
SPECIAL INVITATION
TO: Outsdoor Sculpture Projects & Sculpture Parks and Gardens
Listserv Colleagues
FROM: Carol Sterling, ISC Director or Education
ISC extends a special invitation to all of the listserv
colleagues to visit our website at: www.sculpture.org
<http://www.sculpture.org> and see the launching of our Web
Specials on Outdoor Art and Sculpture Parks and Gardens!
This series is designed to complement and supplement many of the
topics that are of interest to you and which Randy Jewart is
coordinating so ably. In a nutshell, you will read about the nuts
and bolts of how to get started and or build on the practical
experiences of practitioners in the field. So, visit us soon and
email me at carol@sculpture.org if you would like to suggest a
topic we should cover and or you would like to write a 500 word
article that you think would be of interest to others.
And for the sculptors among us, you will be pleased to know that
our first Web Special is designed especially for you! Nick
Capasso, Curator at the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park in
Lincoln, Massachusetts has written a no-nonsense and practical
article entitled, "Tips for Sculptors: How To Submit Tour
Work to Outdoor Sculpture Venues." Check it out.
