SPRINGFIELD ARTIST RUSS RUBERT ELECTED TO SERVE
ON BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR INTERNATIONAL ART ORGANIZATION.
Springfield, MO—NOV
20, 2001—Artist Russ RuBert has been elected
to the Board of Directors of the International Sculpture
Center, a member-supported, nonprofit organization
that publishes the monthly Sculpture Magazine. ISC
also manages an award-winning web site www.sculpture.org,
organizes a biennial international conference, awards
the Lifetime Achievement Award in Contemporary Sculpture,
and conducts a variety of education programs for
students and teachers from elementary through postgraduate.
RuBert was elected at the November 3, 2001 board
meeting in Hamilton, New Jersey, and will serve
a three-year term. His duties will include serving
on the planning committee for the ISC 2003 Conference
in China and the ISC 2004 Conference in Seattle.
Russ RuBert is a sculptor who is owner and principal
of RuBert Studios. He is also currently President
of the Board of the Springfield Regional Arts Council
and on the Board of Directors of the Missouri Citizens
for the Arts. |
