In January, 1999 Russ RuBert established a
22,000 sq. ft. industrial-zoned sculpture
studio to create large-scale public sculpture
and art using advanced 3D CAD/CAM systems.
Major commissions accepted for projects using
stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and other
materials. This studio combines design offices
with networked computers for modeling, graphics,
video editing, and web design with dedicated
metal-working, wood-working, and paint areas,
an industrial warehouse, and an outdoor lot
with a 60 ft. Stinger crane.
Rubert Diversified Investments, Inc.
Springfield, Missouri, 1982-Present.
As president of his own company Russ RuBert
has built Rubert Diversified Investments Inc.
into a company with substantial holdings in
real estate, specializing in investment and
renovation of office and industrial buildings.
Core to his business philosophy is bringing
art, aesthetics, and creativity into the business
environment through personal investment and
community service for the arts.
Public Sphere
Multiple collaborations
with Georgia State University's Language Research
Center, Atlanta, 1991-1997. RuBert formed
Public Sphere to create art-and-technology
interactive environments for cognitive research
with a rare species of chimpanzees. Developed
programs, equipment and computer operating
systems to network laserdiscs, video, and
touch screens used to create games, learning
tools, and symbolic language systems for disabled
children. Projects funded by Emory University,
NASA, and NHK of Japan and featured in National
Geographic, Nova, Discover, Time, and Newsweek.
